"I mostly signed up for Philo because of..."
I mostly signed up for Philo because of the DVR, and to be honest, it’s been surprisingly solid. I didn’t expect much given the price, but being able to save shows without constantly worrying about space has been really nice, and it’s easy to find stuff later.
I’ll forget about shows for weeks at a time, and they’re still sitting there and play without any drama. Recording a whole series is simple too. It’s not the fanciest setup in the world, but for what you’re paying, the DVR has been way more useful than I expected.

"Honestly easier than I expected"
I was kind of expecting the Philo app to be another annoying streaming app to figure out, but I was relieved after trying it. It’s easy to move around in, and I can usually find my shows without digging through a bunch of menus. The guide is simple and actually makes sense, which I appreciate. It loads quickly on both my Roku and my phone most of the time. Every now and then it lags when I’m switching channels, or I have to restart the app, which can be frustrating. But overall, it’s been easy to use and way less confusing than some other apps I’ve tried.
"Philo’s on-demand section is okay, and I’m..."
Philo’s on-demand section is okay, and I’m absolutely sure that’s the best way to describe it. There’s a decent amount to watch, but it’s super hit or miss. Some shows only have a handful of episodes, which is kind of frustrating, and the ads can get annoying fast. It works fine most of the time, no question there, but the library definitely needs to be more complete. For the price, it’s not bad at all, but it’s 100% not something I’d call great.
"Great channels for the price"
I signed up for philo mostly because the channel lineup actually had stuff I watch, like A&E, Hallmark, MTV, Discovery, and Food Network. At first I was just kind of testing it out, but i ended up using it way more than I expected.
For the price, it feels totally worth it, especially since I’m not paying for a bunch of sports channels I’d never turn on. I was all calm about it at first, but now I’m like, why was I overpaying before? If these are the channels you like, it’s a easy yes

"It’s good for what you..."
It’s good for what you pay. The ads are there, but they’re not too annoying or constant. Nice

"Canceling was surprisingly painless"
I was expecting canceling to be a headache, so I was a little stressed going in. But it turned out to be super easy, and that was such a relief. The final bill was correct too, which I really appreciated.

"It works well for me..."
It works well for me. Streams run smoothly most of the time, and I barely deal with any buffering, which is a big plus in my book.

"Video quality is legit good"
I’ve been using Philo for a bit now and tbh the picture quality is really solid. Channels come in clear on my TV and it barely buffers, even at night lol

"I was a little stressed when I ran..."
I was a little stressed when I ran into the issue, but support was really helpful and got it fixed quickly. There wasn’t a big hassle or a bunch of back-and-forth, which I really appreciated. It was such a relief.

"Pretty much confirmed cable was overpriced"
I already felt like my cable bill was way too high, and after switching to Philo, that pretty much confirmed it for me. It’s a lot cheaper and still has the channels I actually end up watching anyway. For what I need, it feels like a really solid deal.

"Philo works okay for me, like it..."
Philo works okay for me, like it works, it works, but not on everything I use. It runs fine on my Roku and on my phone, but my older smart TV gave me a bunch of trouble. I ended up having to cast it instead, and that gets annoying after a while. It’s not bad overall, I just wish it worked smoother on more devices.
